Welcome to STEAM-4-Schools, operated by iCode Technologies LLC. Our platform equips educators with advanced, AI-powered tools to create custom lesson plans, quizzes, and collaborative experiences for Kâ12 students.
This Privacy Policy applies to both our public-facing site (https://steam4schools.ai) and our educator/administrator portal (https://admin.steam4schools.com). It outlines how we collect, use, protect, and share your data.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why
Account & Profile Information
We collect educator name, email, school affiliation, and role during registration. This is used to create accounts, manage cohorts, and enable educator features.
Student Data (Provided by Educators)
We collect the following from educators:
Student first and last names
Quiz responses and engagement data
Student interests
AI chat interactions (visible to educators only)
Note: Students do not register directly. They access the platform using QR codes or unique links provided by teachers.
Media Uploads
Educators may upload files (e.g., images, PDFs). We advise avoiding uploads with embedded location data (EXIF GPS).
Embedded Content
Our platform may include embedded content from YouTube, Vimeo, or others. This behaves like visiting the content providerâs site and may collect personal data under their privacy policy.

Our platform has been independently reviewed by the FTC-approved COPPA Safe Harbor PRIVO for compliance with COPPA, FERPA, and GDPRkidsâ˘, demonstrating our commitment to meeting rigorous standards for childrenâs data privacy.

This certification indicates iCode Technologies, LLC has established COPPA-compliant privacy practices and agreed to PRIVOâs oversight and consumer dispute resolution process.

Data Security

Breach Notification Policy
In the event of a confirmed breach affecting personal data, we notify the affected school or district within 72 hours, unless law enforcement requests a delay. We comply with applicable breach notification regulations.
Data Retention
Educator data is retained as long as needed to provide services.
Student data is retained only for active educational use and deleted or de-identified within 45 days of account closure or contract termination.
Deleted records are purged from backups within 90 days.
Data Transfers
Data may be processed or stored in the U.S., EU/EEA, or other jurisdictions. We take reasonable steps, including standard contractual clauses, to ensure lawful data transfers.
Your Rights Over Your Data
Educators and administrators may:
View, modify, or delete their profile data
Request export or deletion of all personal or student data associated with their account
Submit your request to privacy@steam4schools.ai.
Student Data Requests
If youâre a student or parent, please contact your school or teacher to access or request deletion of student data.
